Paramount’s biopic “Bob Marley: One Love” continues to dominate the box office, adding $7.4 million and bringing its domestic total to $25.3 million over the Presidents’ Day weekend. The film, boosted by strong audience reception and an “A” CinemaScore rating, is on track to exceed expectations and double the six-day haul of Sony’s new superhero flick “Madame Web.”
The biographical musical drama that chronicles the life and career of the legendary reggae musician. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley, the film follows his journey from his humble beginnings in Jamaica to his international stardom while exploring themes of love, faith, revolution, and social justice. With a projected six-day domestic debut closer to $20 million and an $80 million production budget, “Madame Web” faces an uphill battle to recoup its costs.

Brad Pitt and a swam of A list celebrities joined Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ziggy Marley on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Bob Marley: One Love at Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.
Marley went all red with a red hat, and Pitt and Ben-Adir stuck with all black for their outfit for the night.
